This Privacy Policy describes how Sebastian Dahm ("we", "us", or "StreakMate") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the StreakMate mobile application and related services (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you create an account (including via Sign in with Apple), we collect your name and email address. If you use Sign in with Apple's private relay, we only receive the relay email.
• Habit and streak data. The habits, goals, check-ins, partner relationships, and streaks you create in the App. This data is stored so the App can function and sync across your devices.
• Usage analytics. Aggregated, pseudonymous data about how you interact with the App (screens viewed, features used, session length) to help us improve the product.
• Crash and diagnostics data. Technical logs, device model, OS version, and crash reports to identify and fix bugs.
• Purchase information. If you buy a subscription, Apple processes the transaction and shares a receipt with us. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the App and its core features;
• To sync your data between your devices and with your accountability partner;
• To process subscriptions and manage entitlements;
• To send service-related communications (e.g. account, security, or subscription notices);
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues;
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis (EEA / UK users)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data on the basis of (a) performance of a contract (providing the App you signed up for), (b) our legitimate interests in improving and securing the App, (c) your consent where required, and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that help us operate the App (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management). These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
• Your accountability partner, but only the data you explicitly choose to share with them (e.g. habit names, check-ins, streaks).
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterwards as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these rights directly from the App's settings or by contacting us at the address below. Users in California have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and users in the EEA/UK have rights under GDPR.

8. Children

StreakMate is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
